Well it's been quite a week. Both Cam and I are exhausted. At times I was getting stressed out before the move that we wouldn't get everything packed up. Now I scoff at that "stress" -- The last few days have been such a wild up and down rollercoaster of emotions, energy and patience. I've heard that moving is on of life's most stressful events, short of divorce and death. Now I believe it!
New house is settling in OK. Some lumps and bumps but we've managed to get service people in and fixing up some things that aren't working correctly. The appliances in this house are truly space-age. Sometimes you just want to turn the dial and hit "start" but then the d*mn thing beeps at you and says something like "eOF" on the display and then you've got to go through the manual to figure out that you didn't turn the d*mn water.
The kids are settling in although waking earlier than usual (probably due to two reasons: Karin's cutting teeth and the more frequent traffic outside the house). But they are sleeping well, so that is great.
"Tried" to take Karin's 5 month birthday pictures today but she wasn't really very happy and was desperately trying to shove her shirt into her mouth, chewing on fabric and fingers seems to give her the most relief from teething. Poor girl is a mess.
Well, I will try to get some photos here soon, but for now will go try to figure out how the clothes dryer works.

glad to hear you are settling in...I empathize with you! Let me know when we can come check out the new digs and bring you some lunch - no rush.

I can't wait to see pics of the new house! As for Karin's teething, if she is liking chewing on cloth, take a face cloth and wet it and put it in the freezer for a bit and then give it to her to chew on. I also used celery: put it in a tupperware container of water in the fridge to get it cold then give it to her to chew on, supervised of course!
