We caught this cute little vole on the side of the road on the way to the park. I think the poor thing was stunned out in the sunlight. It had the pleasure of sleeping most of the day away on a bread mattress and eating lettuce salad and cheese for supper in a pickle jar before being released in a grassy field. Wikipedia says voles live between three to six months and the males are faithful to their mates for their entire lifespan.
