No writing for a long time...

So something is set wrong on our computer because I can't log in at home but can while I'm at my friend Lynne's house (that is where I'm writing from now). Sorry, no photos (there are lots), but will look into getting home computer security settings fixed up when I get home from my trip to Halifax.

Up too late...

I was just about asleep and then my cell phone rang.....rig call. Now I can't get back to bed.

So I surfed Facebook for a while and read a few articles....realized it's been forever since I've posted anything here & probably anyone who still reads our blog has given up hope of ever hearing from us. We've been pretty busy around the house, renos are 99% complete, we just need our stupid patio blinds fixed but the contractor is really dragging his feet. We still have yet to pay him a rather large amount for the completion of the job...so I'm sure it will eventually get done.....unfortunately for us the blinds are our primary line of defense against the summer heat...I am considering putting tin foil over the windows as today it was up to 27 degrees C inside by noon. Lucky for us Calgary cools off quickly at night. Even by 6 PM tonight it was too chilly for shorts and a t shirt alone. Will post some before and after photos as soon as we get the baseboards done. Cam has quite a bit of time off this week -- "Glamis Day" on Thursday, so he will get a lot of work done on his own, handy to be married to such a handy guy!

Looking forward to the short week this week...Monday and Tuesday and then Wednesday is off for Canada Day, Thursday I have a medical appt in the AM so will only be a 1/2 day, and then Friday we are going to the Stampede Parade. We bought tickets to a breakfast and will sit in the bleachers to watch the parade, I'm sure Chance will love it.

Well I'll see what I can dig up for photos here to post....it's been forever! Chance's hair has grown quite a bit and we are going to probably get him buzzed for summer, although Cam is now talking about just letting him grow his hair long, just once more...

Ultrasound June 3

Hello special baby!! You are 9 weeks old today!

Fetal pole and yolk sac. Approx 1" long, so tiny but heart is beating and looking healthy!

Planting Trees

We took a couple of saplings and found them a home last weekend. We marked them so that hopefully we can return to see them grow.

Cartoons

We had Ayla over on Saturday morning while her daddy helped Cam put on baseboards downstairs. The kids played great together. After lunch they cuddled on the couch and watched cartoons while I did the dishes. I don't think a bomb would have disturbed them!

Afterwards we went out to the park and the kids had so much fun splashing in the puddles. Ayla was very good at pointing out the "doggie poop" and Chance was equally good in rushing over and stepping in it.
